Nurturing Faith in the Hearts of Children

Affiliated with the Orthodox Syrian Sunday School Association of the East (OSSAE), our Sunday School at St. George Orthodox Syrian Church, Thiruvanvandoor, takes care of the spiritual nurturing of the children. We strive to guide them in the knowledge, values, and fellowship of Jesus Christ and His Church.

The educational journey ranges from Pre-Primary classes up to the 12th standard. The secondary level concludes at Class 10 with the central OSSAE examination, awarding successful candidates the Sunday School Final Certificate (SSFC). A Higher Secondary course continues for another two years to complete their education.

Key Programs & Features

• OSSAE Central Curriculum: Jointly prepared by the Oriental Orthodox Churches, teaching Holy Scripture, Church liturgy, sacraments, church history, and Christian ethics.
• OVBS (Orthodox Vacation Bible School): A highly vibrant camp conducted during mid-summer holidays. We publish separate textbooks, devotional materials, and song cassettes for children every year.
• OSSAE Arts Festival (Sargolsavam): Providing opportunities for children to compete and showcase talents in solo singing, elocution, Bible quizzes, and storytelling at Parish, Center, and Diocesan levels.
