Former Vicar Rev. Fr. Jacob Mathew Celebrated the Holy Qurbana and Blessed Educational Kit Distribution
The parish of St. George Orthodox Syrian Church, Thiruvanvandoor, was blessed to welcome our former vicar, Rev. Fr. Jacob Mathew, who served the parish from 1997 to 1999, as the chief celebrant for the Holy Qurbana.
The presence of Achen brought back cherished memories for many parishioners who fondly remember his dedicated pastoral ministry and spiritual leadership during his tenure at Kochupally. His participation in the Holy Qurbana was a moment of joy, thanksgiving, and spiritual renewal for the faithful.
A special highlight of the day was the distribution of educational materials to all school-going students of the parish. School bags, notebooks, instrument boxes, and other essential study materials were distributed to support students as they begin a new academic year.
This noble initiative was generously sponsored by the MDM Youth Movement, reflecting their continued commitment to nurturing and encouraging the younger generation of our parish. The distribution program was conducted with the blessings of the parish leadership and was warmly received by students and parents alike.
The congregation expressed gratitude to the MDM Youth Movement for their thoughtful support and dedication towards the educational growth of our children. Such initiatives strengthen the bonds of fellowship within the parish while promoting the values of care, sharing, and service.
We thank Rev. Fr. Jacob Mathew for his continued love and prayers for our parish and pray that God may grant him good health, wisdom, and abundant blessings in his priestly ministry.
May God bless all the students, teachers, parents, and youth members who contribute towards building a brighter future for our community.
